Rashid Ahmad Ludhianvi was a prominent Deobandi Islamic scholar and jurist from Pakistan, born on September 26, 1922, and passed away on February 19, 2002. He founded Jamiat-ul-Rashid and Al-Rashid Trust in Karachi and was the author of the well-known Ahsan-ul-Fatwa. He served as the president of the Punjab province for Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam (F) and was the head of the Darul Ifta Wal Irshad at Darul Uloom Karachi.
