Born in Bobbili, he succeeded his father as zamindar and held the title of Raja until his death. An advocate for education and sports, he was also part of the Constituent Assembly of India, contributing to the nation's constitution. His tenure faced criticism for its autocratic rule and the Justice Party's electoral defeat in 1937, marking the decline of his political influence.
