He is best known internationally for writing the hit song 'Dove sta Zazà?' in 1944, which was composed by Giuseppe Cioffi and achieved worldwide fame. In theater, he initially wrote sketches for notable performers like Tina Pica, Nino Taranto, and Totò before enjoying success in light theater. Cutolo passed away on April 16, 1985, in Rome.
