Rado Zakonjšek, also known by his partizan name Cankar, was a Slovenian writer, editor, and publicist born on July 25, 1913, in Miklavž pri Taboru. Initially working on a farm, he became a publicist and was the editor of the weekly Družina in Celje in 1941. He joined the Revirska partizanska četa in the summer of 1941 and established partisan printing houses during World War II. After the war, he continued editing various publications and wrote several books, receiving the Partizanska spomenica 1941 for his participation.
