Queva Griffin was an Irish poet born on August 10, 1983. She battled cystic fibrosis and was a double organ recipient, becoming the youngest person under 25 to survive a heart-lung double transplant. To support her medical expenses, she published a poetry book. In recognition of her bravery during her transplant, she was honored as the Young Person of the Year in 1998. Sadly, she passed away in 2003 due to an infection.
