Qahar Asi was an influential Afghan poet and agriculturist, born on September 26, 1956, in Panjshir province. Renowned for his mastery of both New and Classic poetry styles, he expressed deep concerns about Afghanistan's socio-political issues through his works. His poetry often reflected the struggles during tumultuous times, particularly during the Mujaheedin's rule and the civil war. Asi published a poetry book annually and collaborated with Afghan singer Farhad Darya. He tragically died on September 28, 1994, when a rocket struck his home amidst the ongoing conflict.
