Meliha İnay Terzioğlu was a Turkish physiologist born on July 16, 1915, in Soma and passed away on March 14, 1995, in Istanbul. She conducted research on respiratory regulation, hypothermia, and the mechanisms of erythropoiesis. Terzioğlu played a significant role in the development of physiology in Turkey and was instrumental in establishing the biophysics discipline. She is recognized as the founder of the Physiology Department at Cerrahpaşa Medical Faculty.
