Щѐрьо А̀нгелов Янев was a revolutionary activist in the workers' movement in Bulgaria, born on November 20, 1915. He joined the Bulgarian Communist Party in 1940 and served as the secretary of the party organization in his village. As a soldier, he was actively involved in the revolutionary activity and the formation of the Georgi Dimitrov Soldiers' Partisan Brigade, becoming its deputy commander in June 1944. He died in battle on August 22, 1944, in the Sejatc area (Vransko, Yugoslavia), where a monument is erected in his memory.
