Zabikh Abdrakhimov (May 15, 1918 – July 21, 1979) was a Soviet geologist renowned for discovering mineral deposits. He conducted geological exploration for 40 years, primarily in the extreme northeastern USSR, including 25 years in the Magadan region and 12 years in Kamchatka, as well as 1974-1977 in Algeria. Abdrakhimov found numerous tin and mercury ore occurrences and industrial gold placers in northern Kamchatka. His contributions include the famous Chaurya Valley gold deposits, and the Abdrakhimovskoye ore field was named in his honor.
