Abram Moiseyevich Genin was a Soviet and Russian scholar born on May 12, 1922, in Klimovichi, BSSR, and passed away on June 7, 1999, in Moscow, Russia. He held a PhD in medical sciences and a Doctorate in biological sciences, earning the title of professor in 1967. Genin was recognized as a distinguished figure in science in the USSR in 1972 and was awarded the State Prize of the USSR in 1978. He is noted as one of the founders of Soviet space biology and aerospace medicine.
