Sergey Vladimirovich Lavrov (March 26, 1965 – October 20, 2011) was a Kazakhstani mountaineer and honored sports master in mountaineering since 1997. He participated in the First Kazakhstan Expedition to Everest on May 20, 1997, and climbed all of the 14 eight-thousanders between 1997 and 2007. He was recognized as the 'Snow Leopard' in 2004, was a multiple medalist and two-time champion of Kazakhstan in high-altitude mountaineering, and won the CIS Championship in 2001. He was also a level II instructor and a professional mountain guide.
