Vasyl Oleksandrovych Panenko (December 27, 1919 – November 10, 1987) was a Ukrainian Soviet politician and a production innovator. He served as a senior technician at the Sumy superphosphate plant, which later became known as the Sumy chemical plant. Panenko was also a deputy in the Supreme Soviet of the Ukrainian SSR during its 6th and 7th convocations. He was born in the village of Mezhyrych in the Sumy region and passed away in the city of Sumy.
