Piyaseli Vijekoonasinghe (born February 2, 1943 - died September 2, 2010) was a Sri Lankan literary critic, Trotskyist and Marxist scholar, and a member of the Sri Lanka Socialist Equality Party. He served in the Sinhala department at the University of Colombo for 44 years as a lecturer. He was a member of the Socialist Equality Party from 1968 until his passing.
