Vilen Romanovich Nagibarov (1935—1977) was a Soviet theoretical physicist who specialized in the dynamics of optical systems. He became a Doctor of Physical and Mathematical Sciences in 1971 and was a professor starting in 1972. He graduated from Kazan State University in 1959 and completed his postgraduate studies in 1964. Nagibarov worked mainly at Kazan Physical-Technical Institute and held the position of head of the general physics department at Kazan Pedagogical Institute. He also led a laboratory at the Institute of Solid State Physics and Semiconductors.
