Arthur L. Babson (March 3, 1927 – April 24, 2016) was an American biochemist, zoologist, inventor, and entrepreneur. He significantly advanced clinical biochemistry and laboratory medicine, particularly in developing automated in vitro diagnostic instruments for widespread use and standardizing laboratory tests. A colorimetric test for measuring the enzyme LDH in serum is named after him. His contributions have had a lasting impact on the field of clinical diagnostics.
