Yuri Pavlovich Egorov (1923—1996) was a Soviet and Ukrainian scientist, a candidate of physical and mathematical sciences, a doctor of chemistry (1966), and a professor (1969). His primary scientific focus was the study of the spectroscopic characteristics and structures of organic compounds related to the equation E = M at the Institute of Organic Chemistry of the Academy of Sciences of the Ukrainian SSR. He is the author and co-author of over 260 scientific articles published in leading journals.
