Alexey Vladimirovich Zarakhovich, born on August 31, 1968, in Kyiv, Ukrainian SSR, is a Ukrainian poet writing in Russian. He graduated from the philology faculty of Kiev Pedagogical Institute in 1992 and subsequently worked as a teacher, journalist, television journalist, and screenwriter-director. Since 1987, he has published poetry in various magazines and is a member of the National Union of Writers of Ukraine and the Association of Russian Vers Libre Poets. He currently resides in Kyiv.
