Dmitry Vladimirovich Vinogradov-Volzhinsky was a Soviet parasitologist born on March 2, 1925, in Leningrad. He became a Doctor of Medical Sciences in 1961 and a professor in 1962. He was elected as a corresponding member of the Academy of Medical Sciences of the USSR and attained the rank of Major General of Medical Services in 1980. Throughout his career, he published over 150 scientific works, contributing significantly to the field of parasitology.
