Vladimir Alekseevich Nikitin was a Soviet and Russian military leader, born on April 22, 1940, in Topuchaya, Shabalin District, Altai Krai, RSFSR, now part of the Republic of Altai. He achieved the rank of General Colonel on June 10, 1994. In addition to his military career, he was an accomplished academic, earning a Doctor of Technical Sciences degree in 1998 and becoming a professor in 2000. He passed away on November 6, 2020, in Moscow.
