Mitya Samuilovich Pinkhasik (Dmitry Samoilovich Pinkhasik) was a Soviet mechanical engineer born on March 2, 1919, in Ashkelon, Israel, where he passed away on September 26, 1999. He earned a candidate of technical sciences degree in 1963. He served as a shift supervisor and deputy chief engineer at Reactor Plant No. 817 in the late 1940s, and later as deputy chief engineer at Plant No. 815 in the early 1950s. He led a lab focused on fast reactors and was involved in the development of sodium-cooled fast reactors.
