Tsvi Ben-Zvi (July 3, 1940 - August 4, 2017) was a professor of pharmacology at Ben-Gurion University of the Negev and the founder and director of the University’s School of Pharmacy. He contributed to the discovery of THC, the active component in cannabis, and taught for over thirty years at the medical school. In the 1990s, he managed the Clinical Pharmacology Department and was awarded the Medal of Excellence by the Israeli Pharmacists' Association in 2012.
