Alexander Georgievich Shurupov (September 22, 1919 – April 27, 1982) was a Soviet military leader who held the rank of Colonel General in 1968. He served as the commander of the Odessa Military District from 1968 to 1974. Additionally, he was a deputy in the Supreme Soviet of the USSR for the 8th convocation and a member of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Ukraine from 1971 to 1976. Shurupov was also a participant in the Great Patriotic War.
