Nikolai Ivanovich Kosilov (January 7, 1937 – July 18, 2009) was a Russian scientist, engineer, inventor, and higher education leader. He served as the Vice-Rector of Chelyabinsk State Agrarian University from 2005 to 2009. Kosilov earned a Doctorate in Technical Sciences in 1990 and became a professor in 1991. He was recognized as a Distinguished Scientist and Engineer of the Russian Federation in 1998 and as an Honorary Worker of Higher Professional Education in 2002. He was awarded the second-class Order for Services to the Fatherland in 2007.
