German Yakovlevich Shchepkin (November 6, 1906 – January 30, 1980) was a Soviet physicist, Doctor of Physical and Mathematical Sciences, and professor. He was one of the pioneers of experimental nuclear physics in the Soviet Union and created a stationary plasma engine. He was also involved in the Soviet uranium program and was a recipient of the Stalin Prize.
