Vadim Vasilievich Afrosimov (April 3, 1930 – March 25, 2019) was a Soviet and Russian experimental physicist. He was a corresponding member of the Academy of Sciences of the USSR and the Russian Academy of Sciences. Afrosimov was awarded the State Prize of the USSR and held a Doctorate in Physical and Mathematical Sciences. His contributions to physics were significant during his career in various research areas.
