Vladimir Alekseyevich Solodin (July 24, 1930 — June 7, 1997, Moscow) was a Soviet censorship official, serving as Deputy Head of Glavlit. He had a 30-year career at Glavlit from 1961 to 1991 and is recognized as the chief political censor in the USSR. By education, he was an international economist. Unofficial sources suggest he was also a general in the KGB of the USSR. His influence in shaping political discourse during the Soviet era was significant.
