Yuri Sergeyevich Andreichikov was a Soviet and Russian chemist, born on September 16, 1934, in Perm and passed away on February 12, 1998, in the same city. He served as a professor and head of the Department of Organic Chemistry at the Perm Pharmaceutical Institute from 1980 to 1988, and later at Perm State University until his death in 1998. He was recognized as an Honored Scientist of the Russian Federation in 1997 and was one of the developers of the anti-inflammatory drug 'Mefepiron'.
