Kirpal Singh Kaseel (March 19, 1928 - April 14, 2019) was a distinguished Punjabi writer and historian. Despite losing his eyesight at the age of 36 in 1964, he continued his work in teaching, research, and writing with great zeal. Kaseel authored 25 books, including a significant translation of Professor Puran Singh's complete English poetry into Punjabi, with the help of playwright Satinder Singh Nanda. In 1968, he was honored as a Shromani Sahityakar (eminent literary figure) and is often referred to as the Milton of Punjabi literature.
