Hrant Anushavani Vanyan was an Armenian Soviet engineer-mechanic, born on January 10, 1911, in Tiflis, Russian Empire. He earned his doctorate in technical sciences in 1971 and became a professor in 1972. He worked as the Deputy Director for Scientific Work at the Institute of Agricultural Mechanization and Electrification of the Armenian SSR from 1960 to 1980. His research focused on the technological foundations of the development of stony soils and the creation of working organs for harvesting machinery.
