He served as a member of the Central Executive Committee of the Taiwan Green Party and was involved in various LGBTQ+ and anti-nuclear events in Kaohsiung. Notably, he was a founding member and later the head of the Kaohsiung Pride Alliance. He ran for Kaohsiung City Council in the 2014 nine-in-one elections as an openly gay candidate, focusing on issues like environmental protection, food safety, labor rights, youth empowerment, and equality.
