Dmytro Yosypovych Sliuzar was a Ukrainian state and military figure born on November 6, 1919, in Bortnyky, Khodoriv region. He served as a major-political educator in the Ukrainian Insurgent Army (UPA) and held leadership roles in the Organization of Ukrainian Nationalists (OUN) in Lviv. He is recognized for his contributions to the Ukrainian independence movement and posthumously honored as a Knight of the Golden Cross of Merit, 1st class. He died on December 19, 1945, in a village in the Lviv region.
