Ivan Sergeyevich Fedoseev (June 21, 1949 – August 20, 2017) was a Russian musicologist and professor at the St. Petersburg State Conservatory. He specialized in the history of Western music and was known for his research on Handel's works. Fedoseev graduated as a choir conductor and continued his studies to become a musicologist, teaching music history courses after the passing of his mentor. He earned his Candidate of Arts dissertation in 1981 and later completed his Doctor of Arts in 1996, publishing numerous articles on Western music history.
