Ivan Matveevich Avdeev was a Soviet boxer who competed in the flyweight and bantamweight categories during the 1930s and 1940s. Born on December 27, 1917, in Romankovo, Tula Province, he was a four-time champion of the USSR and a medalist in various tournaments and matches. He represented the Dynamo sports society and was awarded the title of Honored Master of Sports of the USSR in 1948. Avdeev is also recognized as a notable boxing coach, having led the national team of Kyrgyzstan.
