Қапай Ысқақов (1906 - 1973) was a participant in World War II, serving as a sergeant and squad commander. He took part in battles from June 1941 with the 52nd Army, 294th Infantry Division, 861st Infantry Regiment. Notably, on March 26, 1944, he advanced into battles up to the Prut River in Romania. He was awarded the title of Hero of the Soviet Union on March 28, 1944, for repelling enemy attacks near Petrești, Moldova. After the war, he returned to his native village and passed away, being buried in Vasilyevka.
