Choi Yong-chul (born March 17, 1974) is a South Korean journalist associated with the Korean Broadcasting System (KBS). He serves as an anchor for the prominent news program 'KBS News 9' since October 2013. Born in Seoul, his father became the president of Hyundai Elevator. Choi graduated in sociology from Seoul National University and joined KBS as a reporter in 2000, later working in the international news department. His wife, Choi Won-jung, is also a KBS announcer.
