Dmitry Petrovich Agitsky was a Russian professor born on October 26, 1908, in St. Petersburg. He studied at the Lithuanian Spiritual Seminary and the University of Warsaw, later becoming a lecturer at various spiritual seminaries in the Soviet Union. After World War II, he contributed to the establishment of spiritual schools and taught Greek at the Moscow Spiritual Academy. He was awarded the Order of Saint Vladimir for his contributions to theology and education. After retirement in 1976, he faced personal challenges and lived a modest life until his death in Shchuchin on October 5, 1994.
