Achanta Janakirama was a renowned radio broadcaster, writer, and painter born on June 16, 1903. He was the son of famous social worker Achanta Seethamma and Achanta Lakshmipathi. He joined All India Radio in 1938 and contributed to the Telugu theatre. Janakirama has over 170 self-portraits and was active in various prominent positions in broadcasting for 21 years. He retired in 1959 and published significant works, including the poetic collection 'Swarnapeetha' and the book, 'Glimpses of Telugu Literature'. He passed away in 1994 at the age of 88.
