Lee Myung-koo (March 25, 1924 – June 17, 2005) was a South Korean scholar of Korean literature. He was born in Seoul and spent part of his early childhood in Incheon, with his primary residence in Ganghwa-do. He was a descendant of Lee Hyeol, the 13th son of King Seongjong of Joseon. After graduating from Kyungseong Normal School, he attended Whimoon High School and later studied at Seoul National University, eventually becoming a professor at Sungkyunkwan University and Hallym University, writing works such as 'Old Novels' and 'Research on Goryeo Songs'.
