Enver Rakhymuly Ishkenov is a Kazakh scientist born on April 18, 1949, in Riga, Latvia. He holds a PhD in Chemistry (1978) and became an associate professor in 1988. Ishkenov graduated from Al-Farabi Kazakh National University in 1972 and has worked there ever since as a researcher, lecturer, and head of a department. His research primarily focuses on acid-base interactions in aqueous systems and the chemistry and technology of rare metals. He developed a method to extract high-purity radiogenic osmium and iodine from copper production processes.
