Lyudmila Vasilyevna Shikina (Mikhalkova) was a Soviet and Russian poet and translator, born on January 20, 1932, and passed away on October 15, 2021. She was a laureate of the Alexander Tvardovsky and Andrei Platonov awards and received the Stalingrad Prize. Shikina was honored with the Golden Feather of Moscow and was awarded the Order of Friendship of Peoples in 1984. She was also a member of the Supreme Creative Council of the Union of Writers of Russia.
