Vera Pavlovna Nikolskaya (Valeriya Pavlovna, married Tyulayeva) was a Russian scientist and ethnographer born on February 12, 1901. She was involved in capturing rural life photographs in the Turaŭ district of Belarus. Her work included ethnographic expeditions in Polesia and documentation of Russian craft industries. She was dismissed from the museum in 1931 as a ‘socially dangerous element’ and later worked at the Academy of Sciences during the war.
