Genko Izvorski is a Bulgarian writer born on July 3, 1949, in Sofia. He completed his basic education in Dibich village and graduated from the mechanical engineering school in Shumen. He studied Bulgarian philology at the Shumen Higher Pedagogical Institute, graduating in 1973. He later worked at a company for the visually impaired and managed it since May 1996. His notable works include five books of stories and a novel, with prose included in anthologies of works by blind Bulgarian poets and writers. He has been an active member of the Bulgarian Writers Union since 2008.
