He was part of the 'Sixtiers' generation and wrote 15 poetry collections, including 'Spring Paths' and 'My Clear Fate'. Pechenivskyi also worked as a secretary at the Western Scientific Center of the Academy of Sciences of the Ukrainian SSR and contributed to various magazines and newspapers. He died under unclear circumstances and was buried in Janiv Cemetery.
