Verdik Jhangiri Hakobyan was an Armenian parasitologist, who made significant contributions to veterinary science. He was born on August 25, 1926, in Sardarashen, located in the Khojalu District. Hakobyan earned his Doctorate in Veterinary Sciences in 1973, and later became a professor in 1987. His work primarily focused on understanding and combating parasitic diseases affecting animals. He passed away on May 4, 2009, in Yerevan, Armenia.
