Evgeny Stanislavovich Borovik (1915-1966) was a Soviet physicist and corresponding member of the Ukrainian Academy of Sciences (1961). Born in Petrograd, he graduated from the Leningrad Polytechnic Institute and worked on low-temperature physics. In 1958, he established and headed a plasma properties laboratory. He also served as head of the department of ultrahigh vacuum at Kharkiv University and lectured on ferromagnetism. Borovik authored over 120 scientific works and inventions and researched various phenomena such as heat conduction and galvanomagnetic effects.
