Tigran Theodrosovich Philiposyants (December 10, 1904 – May 20, 1972) was a Soviet professor and doctor of technical sciences, instrumental in establishing the pharmaceutical industry in the USSR. He developed methods for iodine and antibiotic production, including the first domestic penicillin in 1944. His work significantly impacted pharmacology within the USSR, earning him government and VDNH awards, alongside numerous publications and patents relating to his innovations in medicine.
