Armen Yeghishe Petrosyan, born on April 30, 1948, in Yerevan, Armenian SSR, USSR, is an Armenian linguist and philologist. He earned a Doctor of Philological Sciences degree in 2000. Petrosyan serves as the head researcher at the Institute of Archaeology and Ethnography of the National Academy of Sciences of Armenia since 2017. He is the son of literary scholar Yeghishe Petrosyan and the brother of actor Vardan Petrosyan.
