Pyotr Petrovich Zarubin (1925—2003) was a Soviet scientist specializing in nuclear reactions and a professor at Leningrad State University. He was a participant in the Great Patriotic War and earned a Doctorate in Physical and Mathematical Sciences in 1986. Under his leadership, the first cyclotrons, Р-7 and У-120, were launched in 1957 and 1963 respectively.
