Mikhail Vladimirovich Vladimov (Faitelson) was a Soviet poet, songwriter, translator, prose writer, and screenwriter, born on November 7, 1924, in Poltava and died on April 7, 2003, in Moscow. He was known for writing popular songs such as 'Old March' and 'Scarlet Strings.' Vladimov was a member of the Union of Soviet Writers and was honored as an honorary citizen of Malgobek in 1986.
