Sergey Yevgenyevich Lapshin was a Soviet ice hockey player born on April 9, 1959, in Magnitogorsk, Chelyabinsk region. He was a forward and a Master of Sports of the USSR. Lapshin began his career with Metallurg Magnitogorsk, played for Tractor Chelyabinsk from 1978 to 1982, and later for SKA Leningrad, where he won a bronze medal in the 1986/87 season. In 1991/92, he played one game in the second league for Izhorets and competed in Finland for Ketterä. He passed away on January 2, 1996, at the age of 36.
